About the Community Health Training Alliance

Community Health Alliance Training (CHTA) 2018The Community Health Training Alliance is a community and professional training program that offers a year-long series of public workshops, conferences, webinars, and symposiums on health topics that impact our most vulnerable communities.

Through alliances with other organizations and groups, we convene speakers from diverse backgrounds with a priority on elevating the expertise of those with lived experience from around the region on a wide range of topics including the opioid epidemic, hepatitis C, trauma-informed care, sex work, housing and homelessness, mass incarceration, and more.

Through bringing together a range of experts locally, regionally, and nationally, we provide educational workshops to Philadelphia FIGHT patients, general community members, social workers, nurses, medical providers, faith-based groups, educators, and more.

Many of our programs offer CEUs for social workers, nurses, and CHES as well as CMEs if the target audience is medical providers.

Our biggest events include both those during AIDS Education Month and events throughout the year:

  • End AIDS: The HIV Prevention and Outreach Summit
  • Beyond the Walls: The Reentry Summit and Prison Health Care
  • The Community Cookout
  • Hip Hop for Philly

Our unique webinar series offers topics not typically provided to the general public or to those in the field in other formats. As with all our events, we try to prioritize the voices and expertise of those with lived experience as speakers in our webinars.
