Annually Women’s Equality Day is celebrated on August 26th, to commemorate the right of women to vote. However today, Women’s Equality day encompasses the ongoing fight for equal opportunities for women in education and employment. On this day, globally, Women’s Equality Day remembers the women who have fought for women’s equality by celebrating the women in your life, visiting a museum dedicated to this subject, supporting bills that have impacted women’s right or as a woman, register to vote. This day is a day to rejoice in how far women have come in this country, but also remember how far women have to go to be treated as equals. Don’t forget to invest in women’s equality.
