The Lax Center Welcomes Alvin Kingcade

Alvin Kingcade, PA-C joined the Lax Center in July, 2023. He received a Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education from Temple University, and a Master of Public Health from Touro University Worldwide. Alvin completed his Physician Assistant training at Thomas Jefferson University.

He has been treating HIV patients for most of his medical career, starting out in the Philadelphia prison system. Prior to coming to FIGHT, Alvin was a staff physician with the Philadelphia Health Department. He also worked for PHMC’s Care Clinic for 14 years and was promoted to Primary Care Network Clinical Director in 2015. 

Alvin says he chose the medical field because of his childhood. He came from a family that valued being of service. “This is my upbringing. Providing quality medical care takes more than just treating the patient. It’s about caring for people, having a heart.”
