About Lisa Knoflicek
Dr. Knoflicek is a board certified pediatrician, and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, who brings her love and experience to serve the families at FIGHT. She has worked for 12 years caring for children and families at a federally qualified health center in Camden NJ, where she served as the Pediatric Medical Director. In 2020 Dr. Knoflicek was recognized by Philadelphia Magazine as one of their Top Docs
Dr. Knoflicek completed her undergraduate degree in Neuroscience with a minor in Women’s Studies at Bowdoin College in 1999. She attended medical school in Nashville at Vanderbilt, completing her medical degree there in 2003. She was awarded the Amos Christie Award for excellent pediatric care. She completed her residency in pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) in 2006. While at CHOP, she was a leader in the Homeless Health Initiative and received the Outstanding Advocate Achievement Award from the Community Pediatrics and Advocacy Program.
Dr. Knoflicek is passionate about helping families in all ways. She enjoys engaging children and families in improving their health. She understands the relationship between trauma and adverse experiences and health and helps to connect families to services. Dr. Knoflicek has cared for many children and adolescents with complex chronic medical problems and is able to assist in coordination of their care. She is a dedicated breastfeeding advocate and uses her experience and knowledge to help families achieve their breastfeeding goals. She became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant in 2019. Dr. Knoflicek can provide breastfeeding support onsite, during your regularly scheduled visit or a dedicated lactation visit.
Dr. Knoflicek has lived in Philadelphia since 2003 and cannot imagine raising her family anywhere else! She grew up all over the U.S. with a large blended family before settling here. She lives with her husband, two daughters, and their rescued dog and cat. They love biking and walking everywhere in the city and cooking together as a family.
Dr. Knoflicek loves making strong connections with families and watching her patients grow up! She is a great pediatrician and we are lucky to have her on the FIGHT Pediatrics team!
