About Adina Freedman

Adina is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with expertise in medical social work, training in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, and a passion for family-centered, comprehensive, and humanistic care. Adina obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at Boston University and then headed to the Mississippi Delta where she taught elementary school with the Teach for America program. Her experience working with children in a low-resourced area led her to pursue a career in social work. Adina returned to the Philly area, where she is from, and received her Master of Social Work from Temple University where she completed an internship at the Dorothy Mann Center for Pediatric and Adolescent HIV. Adina loved working in a collaborative and interdisciplinary primary care environment and continued her career at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children where she worked in The Center for the Urban Child and The Grow Clinic. Adina comes to FIGHT with over 5 years of experience working with families in a pediatric setting. For Adina, there is nothing better than supporting a parent on their parenting journey, and watching their joy as their child grows, develops, and thrives. Adina enjoys biking around the city, cuddling on the couch with her dog, and learning Spanish in the hopes of someday being fluent!
