FIGHT Family Dentistry is currently accepting new patients! Because patient care is of utmost importance to us, we have developed these protocols to ensure that new patients to our practice can receive clinical care in a timely fashion.
Scheduling
We have a very limited number of available appointments for new patients; if there are no appointments available, you may be asked to call back at a later date.
FIGHT Family Dentistry has different appointments reserved for Comprehensive Care versus Urgent Care; if the patient has any urgent dental needs, as defined by the Dental Urgent Care section of our website, they should let us know when scheduling so that we may schedule appropriately.
New Patient Information
New patients should understand the following before scheduling their first appointment with FIGHT Dental:
- FIGHT Dental is not a “free clinic”
- We accept most major insurances, and all PA Medicaid plans
- As a requirement of our funders, all patients are asked to provide proof of income; more information about this process is detailed in the document titled Dental Billing Information.
- We have a Sliding Fee discount program, which is based on income and household size; more information about this process is detailed in the document titled Dental Billing Information.
- We can arrange for Payment Plans when necessary.
- Patients should bring the following to their first appointment (where applicable)
- Photo ID
- Dental and/or medical insurance cards
- Proof of income as outlined in the Dental Billing Information document.
- What to expect at the first visit
- Not a cleaning! Your dental cleaning is usually scheduled for the following visit.
- You will receive a comprehensive oral evaluation, including oral cancer screening.
- Full mouth series of x-rays or a panoramic x-ray.
- Comprehensive treatment planning, including a thorough discussion with your dentist.
