Pride Program at Philadelphia FIGHT
Mission
The Pride Program at Philadelphia FIGHT is dedicated to providing comprehensive, affirming, and equitable health care in a respectful, low-barrier community health setting. We commit to fostering a safe and affirming environment for all individuals, advocating for LGBTQIA+ rights, and collaborating closely with organizations to advance health care equity in Philadelphia and beyond.
Program Services
This program is designed to empower young trans and nonbinary people to define what resources they need to maintain their own health, safety, and wellness. Some examples of expenses that could be covered by this program include:
- Pride Navigation: connect with other Pride Navigators in the city and offer support and resources to staff and patients within the organization.
- Trans Youth Resilience Fund: direct financial assistance program for young trans and gender diverse individuals.
- Pride Resource Closet: offering binders and gaffs for patients, education on products for staff and patients.
- Advocacy for safe, affirming environment for all: staff trainings on pronouns and documentation; aiming to improve clinic spaces and update organizational policies to achieve status on Healthcare Equity Index.
- Forming partnerships: to better support mutual patients and share resources.
We are asking for donations specifically for our Trans Youth Resilience Fund and to grow the Pride Resource Closet.
