Philadelphia FIGHT’s Dr. Jay Kostman Announces his retirement

Jay Kostman, MD has announced he will be hanging up his stethoscope for the last time at Philadelphia FIGHT at the end of August. Dr. Kostman will no longer be seeing patients at the John Bell Health Center, but he isn’t retiring from FIGHT altogether. He will continue to serve in his administrative role as Philadelphia FIGHT’s Chief Medical Officer.

Dr. Kostman has been treating patients in Philadelphia since 1988. He previously served at FIGHT’s Medical Director where he was the Principal Investigator of the FIGHT site of the Community Programs on Clinical Research of AIDS and the American Foundation for AIDS Research (AMFAR) site in the Community Based Clinical Trials Network. In 2015, he joined Philadelphia FIGHT as the Medical Director of the John Bell Health Center and became the Chief Medical Officer of Philadelphia FIGHT Community Health Centers in 2024.
