Our primary goal is to provide a safe and confidential space that is comfortable and welcoming for all young people. We see all patients, regardless of ability to pay. We offer same-day appointments and walk-in hours.

Primary Care Services

  • Physical exams
  • Sick and well visits
  • Vaccinations
  • Bloodwork/Lab testing
  • Care for chronic conditions (like asthma or diabetes)
  • Referrals to specialists
  • Nutritionist Visits
  • Mental health screening and referrals
  • Gender-affirming hormone therapy

Sexual and Reproductive Health Services

  • STD testing and treatment
  • Rapid HIV and Hep C testing
  • Birth control, including Nexplanon placement and removal
  • Emergency Contraception (Plan B)
  • Pregnancy testing and options counseling
  • Pelvic exams
  • Pap smears and anal HPV screening
  • Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) for HIV Prevention
  • Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) for HIV Prevention

Y-HEP Health Center Hours

Mondays: 1 pm-9 pm, Walk-in: 1-3 pm, 6-8 pm (evening hours PrEP only)

Tuesdays: 9 am-6 pm, Walk-in: 9-11 am, 1-4 pm

Wednesdays: 9 am-6 pm, Walk-in: 9-11 am, 1-4 pm

Thursdays: 9 am-6 pm, Walk-in: 9-11 am, 1-4 pm

Fridays: 8am-3pm, Walk-in: 8-11 am, 1-2:30 pm

Spotlight On

Karam Mounzer, MD

Dr. Mounzer identified two major gaps in the care of patients with HIV/hepatitis C (HCV) co-infection, and the complexity of multidrug-resistant HIV treatment. He is involved with many clinical trials focusing on drug development and better understanding of HIV immunopathogenesis with the Wistar Institute. He is involved in teaching and mentoring fellows, residents and students.
