About Latasha Newkirk-Pugh

Latasha has been employed by Philadelphia Fight as the Co/Coordinator of Project TEACH as of September 2023. Latasha has studied in the field of Criminal Justice Administration receiving a BA from the University of Phoenix and studied at Widener University’s master’s program in the field of Social Work. She has 20 plus years of experience working for various non-profit organizations in a variety of positions which includes management. Latasha has been in the field of case management as a case manager and transitioning into a position as a case manager supervisor for the past 10 years working with people dually diagnosed, which includes mental health and intellectually disabled population. She finds it rewarding and necessary to help the community navigate and have access to needed resources to maintain and good everyday life.

Latasha finds it rewarding and such an honor to work for an organization such as FIGHT because of their services, values, and commitment to servicing the community. Although Latasha is new to FIGHT, she looks forward to the growth and expansion of Project TEACH. Latasha understands the importance of empowering and providing knowledge to people about treatment, outreach, prevention, and advocacy in regard to their sexual health and living with HIV.
