Pulse - We Are Orlando

Philadelphia FIGHT stands with the LGBTQ community and the world in mourning the deaths of 49 wonderful people who should have had their whole lives ahead of them, in a senseless act of violence in Pulse nightclub in Orlando. This act of hate and terror reminds us that as much progress as the activism of the LGBTQ community has made in combating hate, bias, and discrimination, and in standing up for love, we still have work to do. We are also reminded that our failure as a society to ban weapons of death has contributed to the slaughter of the Pulse nightclub victims as well as many others. We commit ourselves to continued activism to ensure that these crimes become a thing of the past.

Rest in power friends.

We will not forget you.
