Thank you to everyone who attended FIGHT’s HIV Education Summit on June 12 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. We would like to express our gratitude to our staff members and community partners who helped to plan and organize this event.
Special thanks to our Opening Plenary emcee Jeffery Haskins, and our Keynote Speaker, legendary Philadelphia advocate David Fair, for his powerful address. Congratulations to Dr. Ala Stanford, founder of the Black Doctors Consortium, who was presented with this year’s Kiyoshi Kuromiya Award by FIGHT CEO Emeritus Jane Shull.
More than 620 people attended this year’s workshops, which addressed topics including HIV Cure Research, HIV and Faith Communities, PrEP, HIV and Aging, and HIV Prevention and Youth. Of course, all of this wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the City of Philadelphia Department of Public Health Division of HIV Health, and our generous sponsors!
