Philadelphia FIGHT Receives $250,000 Grant to Support FIGHT Pediatrics and to Expand Capacity at FIGHT’s Broad Street Love Clinic

Thanks to a grant from the Jerome B. Miller Family Foundation, Philadelphia FIGHT will be doubling the capacity of its clinic at Broad Street Love (formerly Broad Street Ministry), a social services organization serving people experiencing deep poverty, hunger, and housing insecurity. Kevin Lagor, CRNP, the clinic’s Associate Medical Director, explains, “With our open access model, there are no appointments to make or miss, whenever it works for you. Just come as you are.”

Kevin says he’s encouraged by the number of new patients he sees every day. “A lot of people are coming back regularly, and they’re telling their friends.” The changes for the clinic will include a revamped reception area, two additional exams rooms, and an additional full-time medical provider. Philadelphia FIGHT CEO José Benitez says, “On behalf of the FIGHT patients and staff, we would like to thank the Miller Family Foundation for their support.”
