AIDS Education Month

Since 1994 Philadelphia FIGHT has hosted AIDS Education Month (AEM), a series of events throughout Philadelphia to increase AIDS awareness and to bring people together to find strategies to combat the virus.

What is AIDS Education Month?

June 2019 will mark the 25th year of AIDS Education Month (AEM). AEM is a series of educational events throughout Philadelphia promoting HIV/AIDS education in the month of June. Our various events strive to increase awareness of this public health matter with current information around treatment and strategies to combat the virus. Over the course of many years, we have reached over 15,000 individuals with HIV/AIDS education.

AEM takes place at various venues in Philadelphia throughout the month of June. For 2019, upcoming events include:

  1. JUNE 11, 2019: The HIV Prevention and Education Summit
  2. JUNE 24 2019: The Jonathan Lax Memorial Lecture

We will continue to update our website as we announce additional events.

During AEM we host many educational events throughout the month of June. Below you will find our two major events. Please check back for more information regarding our other offerings.
