Dr. Hines will focus on patient care, education/training and clinical translational research in the Jonathan Lax Treatment Center. In addition to her role at Lax, Dr. Hines will maintain a weekly clinic session at HUP where she will be supervising fellows. Dr. Hines received her medical degree from the University Of Alabama School of Medicine in 1990, and completed her internship and residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in 1993. She completed a fellowship in both Infectious Diseases and Microbiology at the University of Pennsylvania in 1997, and remained there as a faculty member within the ID Division. Over the course of her career, Dr. Hines has been recognized as an outstanding clinician (America’s Top Doctors, Best Doctors in America, Philadelphia Magazine’s Top Docs issue), has made innumerable contributions to the division of ID at HUP, and has received numerous teaching awards.
