Welcome to the first instalment of our series “Frontline TEACH.” Our focus in this lesson will be the basics of HIV, including defining the virus, defining AIDS, and reviewing how HIV is transmitted. We will also discuss treatment decisions and guidelines. The goal of this course is to provide information that will leave learners more informed and aware, and to lessen the stigma surrounding the virus and people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA).
