A webinar reviewing basic nutrition concepts and what makes up a healthy eating regimen.

After participating in this webinar:

  • Service providers will acquire the language to effectively
    discuss the dimensions that make up overall health and
    wellness with their clients.
  • Service providers will be able to assess with those they
    serve the role macronutrients play in the body, and
    direct them to further readings and practical resources.
  • Service providers will be able to translate information
    presented on a Nutrition Label for their clients.
  • Participants will be able to identify common media-driven nutrition-related misinformation.

Marlee FinkelsteinMarlee Finkelstein

Marlee Finkelstein is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian in the greater Philadelphia area. In her practice, she combines her passions in exercise physiology and nutrition to provide a comprehensive and holistic approach to health and wellness. 

Currently practicing as a Clinical Dietitian in in-patient services, Marlee still maintains her private practice and is seeing clients on a part-time basis.

Karam Mounzer, MD

Dr. Mounzer identified two major gaps in the care of patients with HIV/hepatitis C (HCV) co-infection, and the complexity of multidrug-resistant HIV treatment. He is involved with many clinical trials focusing on drug development and better understanding of HIV immunopathogenesis with the Wistar Institute. He is involved in teaching and mentoring.

Dr. Mario Cruz

Dr. Mario CruzDr. Cruz is a board certified pediatrician who serves as the Medical Director for our Pediatrics and Adolescent Health Center. He has presented and/or published in the fields of community violence and domestic violence prevention, quality improvement, behavioral health, curriculum development and mentorship. In 2019 he received the Greater Philadelphia Social Innovation Award for Innovations in Healthcare.
