M. Zane Johnson, Esq. is the Founder and Managing Attorney of M. Zane + Associates — a small Philadelphia law firm that empowers families and individuals by providing access to affordable legal solutions. Prior to founding M.Z+A, Zane was the Managing Attorney at Philadelphia Lawyers for Social Equity where he led and developed initiatives that helped more than 1,000 Philadelphians obtain expungements, while informing thousands more about the stigma that accompanies criminal history record information.
In addition to his work as an attorney, Zane facilitates conflict resolution workshops for justice involved youth and is a volunteer mediator with the Good Shepherd Mediation Program. He is also a non-profit board member of Art for Justice and Equal Access Legal Services. Zane earned his J.D. from Temple University’s Beasley School of Law and his undergraduate degree from Muhlenberg College.
