With our economy at a standstill and communities sheltering in place, many of us are wondering how to keep it together. On Friday April 17th, join us as we have a conversation with attorney Zane Johnson, Managing Attorney of M. Zane {+} Associates, for a discussion of the your legal rights in regards to the pandemic. We will touch on topics such as individual stimulus checks, unemployment compensation benefits, court and judicial services, internet privacy, leases and mortgages, sick leave, and more. M. Zane Johnson, Esq

M. Zane Johnson, Esq. is the Founder and Managing Attorney of M. Zane + Associates — a small Philadelphia law firm that empowers families and individuals by providing access to affordable legal solutions. Prior to founding M.Z+A, Zane was the Managing Attorney at Philadelphia Lawyers for Social Equity where he led and developed initiatives that helped more than 1,000 Philadelphians obtain expungements, while informing thousands more about the stigma that accompanies criminal history record information.

In addition to his work as an attorney, Zane facilitates conflict resolution workshops for justice involved youth and is a volunteer mediator with the Good Shepherd Mediation Program. He is also a non-profit board member of Art for Justice and Equal Access Legal Services. Zane earned his J.D. from Temple University’s Beasley School of Law and his undergraduate degree from Muhlenberg College.

Karam Mounzer, MD

Dr. Mounzer identified two major gaps in the care of patients with HIV/hepatitis C (HCV) co-infection, and the complexity of multidrug-resistant HIV treatment. He is involved with many clinical trials focusing on drug development and better understanding of HIV immunopathogenesis with the Wistar Institute. He is involved in teaching and mentoring.

Dr. Mario CruzDr. Cruz is a board certified pediatrician who serves as the Medical Director for our Pediatrics and Adolescent Health Center. He has presented and/or published in the fields of community violence and domestic violence prevention, quality improvement, behavioral health, curriculum development and mentorship. In 2019 he received the Greater Philadelphia Social Innovation Award for Innovations in Healthcare.
